How this copy is built

What was read

The index at ialist.html lists 153 import alerts. Every morning each alert page is fetched again — this copy is from 30 August 2026 — and parsed for the section the page calls the Red List: the firms subject to detention without physical examination under that alert. 108 pages carry such a list; the remaining 45 apply to a product, a process or a whole country without naming firms, and produce no page here.

That yields 20,902 firm entries in the source. 166 of them are exact repeats (same firm, same alert, same date, same address, printed twice by the source) and are dropped, so the site shows 20,736 rows across 169 countries. A firm that appears under several different alerts is not a repeat: that is the register itself, and every one of those rows stays.

Each entry keeps the country heading it sat under, the firm name, the address FDA prints, the date of publication and the product codes attached to it. The most recent listing in the copy is dated 28 August 2026.

What the copy does not contain

• Green lists, meaning firms removed from an alert. FDA publishes them on some pages; they are not parsed here yet, so this site cannot tell you a firm was cleared.
• Import refusal reports. Refusals at the border are a separate monthly dataset and are not in this copy at all.
• Anything newer than the mirror date. The copy is re-read once a morning, not continuously, so a change FDA publishes at noon appears here the next day.
• Alert pages beyond the first 400 firms. Where an alert names more, the table says so above and below itself, with the declared total.

Where a lookup here can disagree with FDA

The register spells firm names as the inspector wrote them. The same factory appears as Babikian Healthcare Products and as Babikian Healthcare Products, CJSC at two addresses, and both are real entries. A search matches on the normalised name, so a partial name returns both — reading the address is on you.

A firm can also be listed under a trading name that does not appear on your invoice. A clear answer here means the string you typed is absent from the lists in this copy; it does not mean the factory is absent under another name.

The two dates on every page

They are different things and both are printed deliberately. Mirrored 30 August 2026 is the morning this copy was taken from FDA, and it moves every day. Newest listing 28 August 2026 is the most recent entry found inside that copy. The second is always older than or equal to the first; if they ever match, it means FDA published something on the same day the copy was taken.
